Values and needs
With EVERYTHING you do, even now while scrolling, you are chasing a feeling.
So also with the goals you set.
What feeling are you trying to achieve?
And will you really be able to grasp it long-term when you reach the goal, or is it something very fleeting?
If it is something fleeting, you are still searching for another feeling.
Recently, I was talking to someone who wanted to live, have, and radiate FREEDOM. She saw it as one of her most important values. We talked about some other things, and then she told me that she struggled with being productive; she said she needed routine.
I asked her if freedom and routine could go hand in hand.
There is no right answer to this. It is a personal feeling, a knowing for everyone.
I am sharing this to make you think about what you want. Is it truly what you want, or is it something you think you want because of your environment?
And once you have it, will you be satisfied? Will you be able to give it time, space, and attention? Will you be able to enjoy it? Will it clash with other values, principles, or people in your life?
What feeling do you want to feel?
